Have Fun with Full Color Yearbooks
September 29th, 2008
When you`ve got tons of color to play with on every page, there`s really no reason not to take advantage of it. Think past the photos in their bright, colorful glory and take a look at the page itself.
You can get a lot of ideas for full color yearbooks from scrapbooking. The backgrounds are often a colorful riot of interest that set off the photos beautifully. While you certainly don`t want to distract from the pictures themselves, it can be fun to add a little something behind the photos in your yearbook.
Solid blocks of color. These can be a great way to add some interest, just put some blocks of colors that compliment the pictures in the background.
Patterns. Fairly simple patterns, such as stripes or small dots, work well as backgrounds. Don`t forget to match the colors to compliment the photos.
Faded photos. Whether you use the same photos or baby pics of the same students featured, just fade them to about 20% for a fun background that isn`t too distracting.
Take advantage of the full color yearbook package and use color everywhere to make the yearbook brighter and more exciting.
